HO99O9 IN CONCERT:
Punk rappers Ho99o9 (pronounced "Horror") treat fans to a diabolically fun concert with their intense music, unyielding energy, and gory showmanship. Vacillating between thrash punk and experimental hip hop, the band mashes up hardcore guitar riffs and ghoulish samples to immerse audiences in their eerie sound. MCs TheOGM and Eaddy take the stage in ghastly costumes – ranging from ghost bride to knife-wielding murder – that match the grizzly verses on colorful favorites like "Bone Collector," "Blood Waves," and "Day of Vengeance." With their commitment to all things creepy and reverence for slasher flick-inspired subject matter, Ho99o9 treats ticket buyers hair-raising and completely unforgettable experience.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Newark, NJ-natives Eaddy (MC) and TheOGM (MC/producer) collaborated together in the performing arts collective NJstreetKLAN before spinning off to form their own group in 2012. Inspired by a diverse range of artists including Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, New York hardcore punks, and Rob Zombie (both his music and his movies), the duo chose the name Ho99o9 to describe their shock-rock approach to hip hop. Their extreme live shows quickly caught audiences' attentions, and in 2014 they released their debut EP Mutant Freax. They gained even more exposure in 2015 after performing on Last Call with Carson Daly and kicking out well-received sets at SXSW and the Vans Warped Tour Kick Off Show. With fans still reeling from their 2015 mixtape Dead Bodies in the Lake, Ho99o9 continues to delight and terrify audiences wherever they take their macabre stage show.
